ich glaube, da bringst du was durcheinander.
die heldin in kill bill möchte wegen ihrer muttergefühle ein weniger gefährliches leben führen. was ja auch verständlich ist. brutal wird sie aber nicht wegen ihrer muttergefühle sondern weil sie sich rächen will. dafür dass sie, ihre tochter und alle anderen leute, mit denen sie ihr neues leben beginnen wollte, erschossen wurden.

Beipflichtend: Death Proof ist wirklich der Knaller der Saison. Schon allein die Grindhouse-Fehler-Ästhetik, dieses durchgängig Rockende , dieser Schluss auf den Punkt. Hätte ich dem Quentin nach der Foxy-Brown-Kill-Bill-Wackelphase so nicht zugetraut und darum umso freudiger überrascht.

Es gibt aber auch Trottel wie diesen Kommentator auf imdb, die das einfach nicht aushalten und den Film absurd umdeuten, damit doch wieder ein klassisch-sexistischer Slasher-Trash draus wird:
“OK. Everybody know Death Proof has two sequences. I’ve seen it a few times and I enjoy it much more when I interpret the 2nd sequence as being a portrayal of events that occurred *before* the first sequence.
First of all, time scrambling is more consistent with Tarantino’s style. Secondly, this interpretation provides a better explanation of why Stuntman Mike was stalking these girls. Third, there are certain features in the film that suggest that this is indeed the case.

For instance, before he went after the girls in the first sequence, one of the girls (Butterfly) seemed to recognize his car (the distinctive hood ornament perhaps?) as if their paths had crossed before. Mike had pictures of the girls, (we couldn’t see them clearly enough to be sure they were the same girls, but they were similar.) Finally, Mike seemed to want revenge on these particular girls.

The girls in the second sequence are similar looking to the girls in the first. Even if they aren’t the same girls, they are close enough! The girls (from the second sequence) thought they killed Mike. They didn’t. In the first sequence (which really occurs after the second sequence), he’s back to exact his revenge.

Stuntman Mike is still out there.”

Also bitte nicht die Blödheit von “Jungs” unterschätzen. ;-)

Weiss nicht, ob das euch Mädchen so geläufig ist, aber es gibt da Männer, wo welche sich (und ggf. sogar sehr vergnüglich) auch mit weiblichen Hauptrollen zu identifizieren vermögen…
